ABOUT LilRon&K

LilRon & K was conceptualized from the passion to help others find solutions to their everyday challenges of either young professional entrepreneur parents,  represented by Lilian (Lil) and Ronney (Ron) and Child(ren) Kay. Thus LilRon&K Lifestyle Consultants.

As young professionals, LilRon worked as communication and marketing executives in different organizations and later branched out to offer Communication and Consultant Services. It's during the period that we offered consultation services, we received requests to perform other personal duties to relieve the clients of the stress to balance between their career and personal life. It's from the offering of the extra services that we found a niche of striving to find solutions to alleviate unnecessary stress from others.

Thus LilRon&K Lifestyle Concierge was born with the VISION of taking charge of things you need to do but do not have time to do them.

WHY DO I NEED A CONCIERGE?

 

If you ever feel like the day should have an extra hour, if you have a microwave, your car is 2000 kilometers overdue for an oil change, you rarely spend time with your children/family/partner because you have to run in ending errands? The to do list is endless...

 

These tasks take a lot of time, stress and fuel to accomplish. In the last one month we visited a clients parents upcountry, took them for an annual medical check up, made some changes in the home like installation of gutters and water tank, assessed the farm and made recommendations on improvements to be made. This task took a two working days that our client would have taken off work to accomplish. 

 

We would not replace the relationship of our client with their parents but we sure helped them to accomplish a task that would have been done three months down the later.

 

 

TIME TO DO MORE

 

In another instant, a clients who has an 8-5 job had a mishap with a matatu with his car. We picked the car in the morning, had it fixed and by 5pm the client had his car to go home. Convince and saving time was key. 

 

Clearly, Todays families and work places, people have limited time to perform everyday tasks. The time spent on tasks can be spent on more important tasks at work or with family and friends.

One day a regular guest at the Park Hyatt in Washington, D.C. approached concierge Elaine Oksner, and said, "Elaine, I need an elephant." He wanted it for a photo shoot for his wife, who was running for political office. "I'll check in with you after lunch to see how you're doing," he added.

Using her ingenuity, Oksner first called the National Zoo to see if they rented out elephants. While they didn't, a local petting zoo in Virginia did. Oksner had her elephant even before the guest had finished lunch.

It was all in a day's work for a professional working in one of the most prestigious service careers in the hospitality industry - concierge.

NOBLE HISTORY

The term "concierge" first appeared in France in the Middle Ages and came to refer to the officers of the royal palace guard whose job it was to protect the king in his palace. The concierge was the holder of the keys in the royal households, with access to all the important rooms. The concierge's responsibilities were diverse, including overseeing the administration of domestic services and performing special tasks at the request of the royal court. The definition broadened with the rise of the grand European hotels in the 16th and 17th centuries, though it was not until the mid-20th century that the concierge became a must-have feature of North American hotels.

So prestigious is the concierge that there is an association, from France, dedicated specifically to hotel concierges, Les Clefs d'Or, whose motto is "service through friendship". Today their membership numbers more than 3,500 concierges representing 37 countries. Members are distinguished by the gold keys they display on their lapels.
